Memory of the House
Before the Recipes
Long before they became recipes, they were aromas and flavours known at home.
In Guadalajara, the founder’s grandfather was curious about plants, water, and fruit trees. His travels broadened that interest. At home, this knowledge appeared in a simple way: infusions shared with his family, Grandpa’s teas.
Years later, part of that family library was inherited. Reading it brought those memories back at a time when a personal exploration of chocolate was already underway.
The memory of one house began a conversation with the craft of another.
Dark chocolate brings depth and nuance. Each recipe seeks to preserve its character while allowing the accompanying elements to emerge. Spirits are used in small amounts to bring character, contrast, and depth, never to dominate the bonbon.
Freshness, intensity, acidity, persistence, or a small burst of flavour offer another way to understand the glow of Casa Zivit.
Its formula belongs to the Kitchen. Its story, to the House.
